Projects
Clients call us when they need a unique blend of intellectual rigor, pragmatic wisdom, and personal presence. Increasingly, we engage with clients who want to weave the pieces of the puzzle into a more coherent, sustainable and productive whole; e.g., strategically aligning their coaching investments to shift their culture and improve their developmental and performance outcomes. We welcome clients who are courageous and committed to having the real conversations and making the real moves to fulfill more of their destiny as an organization. Life is too short and there is too much yet to be done to have it any other way.
Our projects have included:
Consulting
- Developing and delivering a year-long pilot project to improve the coaching strategy, integration, skills and results for PricewaterhouseCoopers (Australia).
- Worked with directors and project teams in three U.S.-based organizations to train an internal coaching team, develop new patterns in meetings, integrate learning support and performance measurement, and embed coaching in work processes and practices.
- Coached the director and assisted the leadership team for a governmental collaborative project in developing a logic model-based strategic plan that was approved by their sponsors as is for the first time; helped them restructure and upgrade their skills to deliver on it.
Workshops
- Developed and taught an introductory program to support the launch of a company-wide coaching and leadership development initiative at George Weston Foods.
- Ran a six-month program for leaders on coaching skills, personal effectiveness, and leadership; facilitated group coaching sessions for the State of Nevada.
- Provided consultation and training on coaching skills for managers in Oregon Health Sciences University’s School of Nursing and hospital units undergoing rapid change.
- Developed and delivered a workshop on stories and learning as well as coached project leaders in preparing 60 key contributors at Nike to be effective change champions and peer coaches for the roll-out of an enterprise software system.
- Developed and facilitated an online community of practice for 150 managers across three states in a six-month graduate-level program on coaching skills.
University-based teaching
- Developed and taught a course on Coaching: Essential Skills for Developing People and Getting Results through the Center for Professional Development at Oregon Health Sciences University.
- Developed and taught the online Leadership Development and Assessment course for the MBA+ program at Portland State University.
- Designed and taught online Master’s courses: Introduction to Management and Building Effective Organizations: Oregon Health & Sciences University.
- Developed and taught a two day advanced coaching course for Melbourne Business School
- Developed and taught four-day coaching intensive for managers through Portland State University
- Co-developed the curriculum for the coaching certificate program at Fielding Graduate University.
